1. About us
These terms are between you (the customer) and Fencing Company Nuneaton - Installations and Repairs Contractor, trading as Fencing Company Nuneaton, based at 7 Elderberry Drive, Nuneaton, CV10 9AR. Contact: 02476 570450, info@fencingcompanynuneaton.co.uk.
2. Enquiries and quotes
Quote requests via our website, phone or email are free unless we state otherwise in writing before a paid survey. Written quotes state materials, scope, estimated duration and price. A quote is an offer valid for the period stated on it, or 30 days if no period is given.
Work is not booked until you accept a written quote and any deposit or scheduling terms we confirm. Verbal estimates are indicative only until confirmed in writing.
3. Scope of fencing work
We install and repair garden fencing, timber gates, closeboard, feather edge, composite panels, and commercial or security perimeter fencing as specified in your quote. The quote defines what is included — for example, supply, installation, removal of old fencing, ground preparation and waste disposal.
We do not guarantee that a particular fence height or type complies with planning rules or title restrictions. Boundary ownership and planning compliance remain your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Site access and customer responsibilities
You agree to provide safe access to the work area, including side passages and rear gardens. You must disclose known underground services, easements and neighbour access requirements. We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, adverse ground conditions not visible at quote stage, or weather that makes work unsafe.
You are responsible for notifying neighbours where access through adjoining land is required.
5. Payment
Payment terms are stated on your written quote. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due as set out in the quote — commonly on completion for domestic work, or by staged payments for larger commercial contracts. We may pause work if agreed payments are not received.
6. Cancellations and changes
If you cancel after accepting a quote, we may charge for materials ordered and reasonable costs incurred. If you request changes after work starts, we will provide a revised quote where the scope or price is affected.
7. Guarantees and defects
Material guarantees follow manufacturer terms where applicable. Workmanship issues reported promptly after completion will be reviewed in line with the scope of your quote. Normal wear, storm damage, rot from poor drainage, and damage caused by third parties are not covered unless explicitly included.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, our liability for any claim relating to a contract is limited to the price paid for the work giving rise to the claim, except where a higher limit is required by law.
9. Website use
Website content is for general information about our fencing services. It does not constitute professional advice on planning, boundaries or structural engineering.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales unless mandatory consumer rights provide otherwise.
